HOUSTON, TX (November 7, 2012) - In solidarity to fight breast cancer, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport hosted its first Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar in October.
Led by Dr. Walden Sanchez from San Rafael Arcángel Hospital, the seminar attracted 60 people from the airport community. In addition to the education, the airport donated 10 mammograms and sonograms to support and motivate people into taking preventative action regarding their health.
"You can never put too much emphasis on the significance of regular mammograms and clinical breast exams.” stated Kattia Cambronero, HR Manager for Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport. “We feel through education, we can raise the number of survivors, instead of the number of statistics.”
