A Global Pioneer in Airport Privatization - Past Airport Projects

As pioneering acts go, the United Kingdom's corporatization of the British Airports Authority (“BAA”) in 1987 is viewed as a seminal event in the airport privatization world.  It was in this same year that ADC was likewise structuring its US$600 million Terminal 3 concession at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport, the first of its kind in the Americas. This was followed by another great “first,” the US$150 million terminal project concession of the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (formerly known as Budapest Ferihegy International Airport), Hungary, an unprecedented event in an Eastern European country.
