Airports Worldwide is a 45% shareholder of Coriport S.A., the concession company, which holds a 20-year concession to design, finance, construct and operate the new international terminal building and its associated facilities for Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR).
The concession also includes approximately 36,000 m2 of airport land currently occupied by the old terminal. Airports Worldwide through an O&M contract with Coriport S.A. is the project operator of the new terminal company. The airport is located in the city of Liberia in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica. It serves as a tourism hub for those who visit the Pacific coast and western region of Costa Rica. It is considered the gateway to the "Costa Rican Riviera," often called the Golden Coast.
